GRA 2184: folioI - Portfolio Development
- Create a professional portfolio through graphic design, digital Imaging, media and/or video
- Do essential preparation for a digital career entry into the graphic design, media and television industry.
- Include personal presentation skills, employment materials and creative work samples.
- Develop a comprehensive presentation portfolio encompassing suitable creative work samples.
- Develop presentation portfolio support materials including a presentation book, resume, cover letters, an employment history, a self promotional fax sheet and suitable documented graphic design projects.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the graphic design industry, including the creative, production, production support and service segments.
- Define the duties of managing a design business, professional/creative development, and the competencies associated with those duties.
- Demonstrate appropriate concept development and organization of industry job search portfolios.
- Demonstrate through portfolio an in depth exploration of a particular technical, aesthetic or applied aspect of design.
- Demonstrate an awareness of the contemporary aesthetic and technical trends in design.
- While ADOBE Acrobat, ADOBE Bridge, ADOBE Illustrator, ADOBE InDesign and ADOBE Photoshop software (or any other application) may be used, this is a PATHTM and STORY class focused most on D3SIGNTM.
- Experience is gained by proposing, gathering, creating, organizing and completing a professional portfolio.
- This class should be completed in the student’s final semester of study.
- Project: Communicate personal style, capability, and improve career options through a professional portfolio
